About

The Jason Lane Band, hailing from Vancouver, Canada, is a blues ensemble deeply rooted in the realms of rock and pop music. Their signature style seamlessly melds traditional blues elements with the infectious melodies and harmonies of pop, all set against the backdrop of electrifying rock guitar. The outcome is a refined, soulful, and irresistibly groovy sound that bridges the gap between the contemporary and the modern.

“The blues was always our calling, but it was rock that got us here.”  - Jason

At its core, The Jason Lane Band consists of a dynamic brother-sister duo, featuring Jason Lane Amott as the guitarist, and Chantal Sayers Amott, as the powerhouse vocalist. The rhythm section is expertly held together by Robbie Cooper on percussion and Bruce Morrison, masterfully wielding the five-string bass.

Their music has not gone unnoticed in the industry, as evidenced by their accolades. In 2023, they clinched the prestigious International BC Blues Challenge title and were crowned Band of the Year at the Fraser Valley Music Awards.

Their musical journey began with the release of their debut EP in March 2020. This EP showcases their scorching sound in tracks like "Speed of Sound," the soulful "Lights Down Low," and the atmospheric "Black Magic Woman".

Following up on their debut, The Jason Lane Band dropped their second EP, "Wildcard," in March 2021, featuring the compelling single "Don't Let The Blues Win," which artfully incorporates elements of their diverse influences.

Their latest offering, "Stone In the Water," unveiled in June 2022, boasts six new rock-blues compositions, with the lead single, "Say Goodbye," amassing over 10,000 views on YouTube.

The Jason Lane Band is a fixture in the Vancouver music scene, captivating audiences with their high-energy, danceable renditions of rock and blues classics from the '70s to the '90s. Chantal pays tribute to the influential female voices of that era, with heartfelt renditions of songs by Alannah Myles, Aretha Franklin, Sass Jordan, Tracy Chapman, Lady Gaga, and more. Amidst their covers of these timeless hits, the band seamlessly weaves in their original compositions.

For a more intimate experience, The Jason Lane Band also performs as an acoustic duo, featuring Jason and Chantal, delivering classic rock and solid blues with an acoustic twist—a perfect fit for smaller to mid-sized venues where their music can shine up close and personal.
